Description

This course will educate students thoroughly about the period of the Civivl Rights Movement in the United States as it took place in the 1950s and 1960s. Student will learn about key people, groups, places, and events that took place in the Movvement, as wellas why these events remain relavant today. While the focus of this course will mainly be on the American Deep South, events in other parts of the country will also be d iscussed. Prerequisites: HI212 or HI268.
